Larkin Street Youth Services: Sherilyn Adams

Ed Melendez, Director of Community Based Services
Ed Melendez is the recently appointed Director of Community Based Services. Ed previously served as Manager of Outreach, the agency’s street outreach and HSRC program for youth ages 18-24. Ed has been with Larkin Street for almost four years, rising from counselor to program manager. He has over 15 years experience in social service and education including teaching, tutoring, job coaching, as well as direct service experience as a case manager, counselor, and program management. Ed’s focus is on the community based programs: LEASE, ROUTZ, Castro Youth Initiative, ESA, and Outreach serving foster youth, dual– or triple–diagnosed youth, and street-engaged youth. Ed is currently waiting acceptance to San Francisco based Masters Program through Oxford University’s International department.
