Larkin Street Youth Services: Sherilyn Adams

Peter Gerharz, Director of Education and Employment
Peter Gerharz, Director of Education and Employment Services, provides senior leadership for the HIRE UP program. He has a Bachelors Degree from Indiana University, and has worked in group home settings with severely emotionally disturbed youth. Peter has represented Larkin Street to the National Youth Employment Coalition, the Intermediary Network, and the Mayors Office of Economic and Workforce Development, while also sitting on the Operations and Executive Committee of Matchbridge, a program of the United Way. Peter has been an employee of Larkin Street for two and a half years, having run the GED program and the Workforce Development team before taking the Director position in late March. At HIRE UP, Peter focuses on the needs of the special populations Larkin Street serves: foster youth, runaway youth, dual- or triple-diagnosed youth, and street-engaged youth.
