The Larkin Street Fund
Annual gifts to The Larkin Street Fund
enable the agency to invest strategically in our youth, staff, and
innovative programs. The
Fund is the primary source of flexible, discretionary dollars used
by the Executive Director for top priorities to strengthen and enhance
the agency’s continuum of care.
Flexible dollars to fund innovative programs
Discretionary
financial support means Larkin Street can continue to provide an
open door to any youth in need of help. A hallmark of Larkin Street’s development over the last two decades has
been our ability to remain responsive to the needs of young people.
This commitment has fueled the agency’s growth and garnered
national, as well as international, recognition as one of the
leading provider of services to homeless and runaway youth.
A necessary complement to public support
By virtue of the
agency’s strong partnership with the City & County
of San Francisco, state and federal governments, Larkin Street
derives approximately 65% of its annual operating budget from public
contracts and grants. While critically important to our overall
mix of funding, government support often comes with a number of
restrictions. Annual gifts to The Larkin Street Fund serve as a
vital source of unrestricted support and enable us to provide the
full spectrum of support we know kids need to move beyond the streets
for good.
Your gift counts
Last year, nearly 1,750 donors contributed more than $2 million
in unrestricted financial support. Our goal this year is to double
that amount to $4 million. We need your help to achieve this goal.
Please consider making
a gift today.
Together, we can ensure that our most vulnerable youth continue
to get the resources they need to have the future they deserve. |
