Marilyn has been supporting Larkin Street as a full time volunteer engaged in cultivation events and Larkin Street’s major fundraising events, as well as building relationships and connecting new people to Larkin Street. She is the 2010 recipient of Larkin Street’s Jay Cuetara Volunteer of the Year Award.

Larkin Street Youth Services depends on the generous contributions of thousands of donors every year. We have collected here some of their stories to celebrate their commitment and inspire the continued generosity of others.

Bill & Marilyn Campbell, Founding Members of Larkin Street

Marilyn and Bill Campbell originally hail from the East Coast and met in college in Springfield,Massachusetts. But their hearts truly are in San Francisco. Bill, along with others from Old First Presbyterian Church, founded Larkin Street in the early ‘80s and served on its board of directors for many years. Bill is also the author of Larkin Street’s history book, Larkin Street Youth Services: The First 25 Years. In 2009 the Volunteer Center recognized him with its Nonprofit Board Leader Award.
