Larkin Street and Marathon Matt teamed up to create an extensive, exciting running and fundraising program, Team Larkin Street, culminating in the San Francisco Half Marathon on August 3, 2008.

This year eight members conquered the half, one member ran the full, and together they all raised over $17,000 to support Larkin Street programs and youth. Thank you everyone for such a wonderful team and successful program.

Overview
Training
Matt Forsman, a.k.a. Marathon Matt, will provide a comprehensive 12 week training program for Team Larkin Street members including professionally coached workouts, clinics and seminars. 
Fundraising
Each Team member will make a commitment to raise at least $1,300 to support Larkin Street’s continuum of care.  Awards and gifts will be provided to all and special prizes will be awarded to those surpassing the minimum fundraising goal.
The Race
Team Larkin Street will compete in the San Francisco Half Marathon cheered on by Larkin Street staff and volunteers.
Fun
Pre and post race activities include fundraising support events, promotional events, pre race pasta feed and post race celebration.
