Groups can participate in a wide variety of projects based on group number, scheduling, and current program needs.  Our most common group projects include painting, clothing closet sorting, food preparation and gardening.All of these positively impact our youth by enhancing their environment and showing that others care about them.  To the extent possible, groups are asked to cover expenses involved with beautification projects.

Most opportunities are available Monday through Friday from 9am to 5:30pm for groups of 5 to 15 people.  Weekend projects and larger group projects are sometimes available but must be scheduled farther in advance.

One Time and Short Term Opportunities

If you or your group is interested in contributing as volunteers for other one-time or short term projects, please read on for some unique and rewarding opportunities.

Opportunities:

• Spearhead a clothing, toiletry, or gift drive with colleagues, family, or friends.
• Assist with preparing and serving holiday dinners at one of our programs or volunteer for special events.
• Join a community beautification project at one of our program sites.
• Sponsor a youth during the holidays by collecting clothing and gifts.
• Host a fund-raising event to benefit Larkin Street at your headquarters, store, or local establishment or partner with a local restaurant or business to host a party for your colleagues with a percentage of the proceeds benefiting Larkin Street.
• Shareyour professional talents by assisting our Development, Finance or HR departments on administrative projects or join one of our committees.
